This is like the Dolan’s kicking lawyers out of concerts and Madison square garden and other venues if they sue the Dolans; on steroids; lots of steroids. Abuse of power. Chilling effect intended to create anticipatory submissiveness and a test of our collective courage and strategic thinking.

Amazed that nothing can be done. It's unreal, Vivia.

OMG. The war taking over our country has become 'nuclear'. How can such a dirty dastardly dick be stopped if not through the courts? Sadly, I was relying on legal justice too much, it seems. The daily travesty continues with even less hope. Thx for this, VJ.

Go Vivia go. It's not a good look for Big Law. It's not what Big Law did when James Brosnahan of MoFo represented the American Taliban and the Ashcroft Justice Dept told clients to stop using MoFo because of it. Big Law stood up and rallied around MoFo, and so did GCs at big companies. A lot has changed since 911. Same thing is happening with DEI. Big Law is whitewashing its websites. Big Law needs to get back to its roots. It is the voice of equal justice.

Thanks, Peter, particularly for the historical note about how Big Law used to be much more courageous.

Have you always been against lawfare and weaponizing the DoJ against political opponents or is this a relatively new passion?

Despite the BS from MAGA, weaponzing the DoJ has only one historical antecedent in modern times, and maybe in all of American History: J. Edgar Hoover. Also a shameful figure. And yes, was against it then, too.

I have known Vivia for many years, and the answer is yes she’s always been opposed to it.
